He also brings entrepreneurial insight, advising startups and scale-ups in FMCG, Luxury, and MedTech, where risk-taking and creative problem-solving are key. Currently, he works as a senior consultant, advisor, public speaker, university lecturer, and high-altitude skier, dedicated to inspiring innovation in both startups and large corporations by fostering a culture of creativity driven by scarcity.
Dr. Joris Meijaard – the Academic Director of the Dept. Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship, Rotterdam School of Management @ Erasmus University Rotterdam. He graduated in econometry and obtained a PhD in business economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR).
Joris has 20+ years of experience in economic and business policy research. In 2011, he founded research agency MIR, specializing in innovation and company growth.
Joris focuses on (1) the development and evaluation of innovation and entrepreneurship policy and (2) entrepreneurship and new business development.
